Scholarships

Scholarships are a form of "gift" aid generously provided by organizations, corporations, private donors, and sometimes even the school itself. Unlike loans, scholarships do not need to be repaid, making them an excellent way to support your education. Scholarships can be awarded for academic excellence, talent, or achievements in areas such as the arts or athletics.

Each scholarship has its own unique criteria, award amounts, and application process. Many scholarships require a separate application outside of the FAFSA and may include an essay and/or letters of recommendation. We encourage you to explore and apply for all scholarships you qualify for. Completing the FAFSA is also recommended, as some scholarships are need-based and determined by individual donors.

Please note, colleges are required to include all funding sources, including scholarships, in your financial aid package. If you receive any funds not listed on your financial aid awards, it's important to notify the Financial Aid Office to ensure accurate processing.

  • SARAH K.

I had an amazing experience at The Salon Professional Academy in St. Louis, which really highlighted the full spectrum of cosmetology. Mrs. P. was instrumental in teaching us that while cutting hair is essential, understanding your worth as a stylist and running your own business is just as critical. Her lessons and industry shares were invaluable.
